The Nigerian National League body NNL, has organized a three-day capacity building workshop for the club’s coaches and media managers across the country.
The Independent mirror reports that the seminar, an intensive learning experience, sharing knowledge and featuring interactive discussions from various experts, took place between 28-30, October 2024 at the Remo Starts complex, in Ikenne, Ogun State.
Former Super Eagles Assistant Coach Fatai Amoo, alongside former FIFA-badged referee Chukwudi Chukwujekwu, share more knowledge with the coaches.
While experienced journalist Tony Ubani and Former Adviser to Ex-Sports Minister John Joshua-Akanji, alongside Oluchi Tobechukwu,, intensify the knowledge of the clubs’ media men.
Speaking at the event, president of the Nigerian National League club owners and managers association of (NALCOMA) Mr. Godwin Enakhena called the media managers to rebrand the NNL through their report.
He also expressed his gratitude to the media managers, urging them to always go through investigation for the success of any football league in the world.
In his remarks, chief operating officer of the Nigeria National League, Dr Ayo AbdulRahman, revealed that the body has introduced monthly awards for players, coaches, goalkeepers, and referees for the upcoming season.
Ayo, added that the nominations will go through by the media officers of the NNL, and voting will involve all football stakeholders in the country.
Earlier in his speech, the honourable Kunle Soname, founder of the Remo Starts and Beyond Limits FA, commended the leadership of George Alue, chairman of NNL.
Soname, who takes responsibility for hosting the workshop, added that the good leadership of Alue intensifies how different clubs won four straight matches last season without any violence.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, NNL Chairman George Aluo, urged participants to avoid the spirit of sportsmanship in the violence.
He advised the importance of safety, crowd control and unrestricted livestreaming, assured that the participants aimed at maintaining impartial officiating in all matches.
The workshop was attended by different NNL coaches and media managers, including Abdullahi Maikaba from Wikki Tourist of Bauchi, Rabiu Tata from Barau FC Kano, Ibrahim Mohammed Sallau from Yobe Desert Stars FC.
