NLO:Barau FC Remains Top at Dutse Centre Group A Table

Barau Football Club, from Kano State, continues to lead the Jigawa Dutse Centre Group A table in the Ongoing New year Nationwide League One NLO 2023/2024.

The Independent Mirror reports that On Friday 26 April 2024, Barau Football Club defeated Ganduje Babies 3-0 in the day 4 match NLO at Dutse Jigawa Stadium, with the match being intense and interesting.

Jigawa Dutse Stadium is one of the NLO Centre that witnessed the NLO matches. For now, all four matches have been concluded as Barau FC tops the table.

Jude Mamman from Barau FC, scored two goals in 5 and 64 minutes respectively, and Obed Ponkap also scored the last goal, on 30 minutes.

Earlier on Friday morning, Sabon Gari United emerged from a victory against Hausawa United with a hard-working 2-1 win, while Albarka FC beat SBS FC 1-0 in a crucial match.

In a statement issued by Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, Media Officer Barau FC, said that, despite the team loss against SBS FC on Wednesday by 1-0, Barau FC led the table with 9 points.

With all these four matches, Barau Football Club led the NLO Dutse Centre Group A by 9 points clear, following Sabon Gari with 7 points and SBS FC with 6 points.

Albarka FC emerged in fourth position in the table, with 4 points, the same point as Hausawa United and Ganduje Babies with different goals.

The NLO match day 5 will continue on Sunday at Dutse, as Barau FC face Sabon Gari, while Albarka FC traveling to Ganduje Babies and SBS FC will face Hausawa United in the last day match at NLO this season.

The Nationwide League One NLO 2023/2024 is going on in a different centre in Nigeria, as every centre winner will compete in the final stage of Super 8.
