Dr. Dahiru M. Hashim, the new Environment Commissioner in Kano, has kicked off his inspection tour with a visit to REMASAB, the state’s refuse management and sanitation board.
The Independent Mirror reports that the inspection took place on Monday, as this onsite assessment aims to evaluate the current state of waste management in Kano, which has faced challenges in the past.
During the inspection, Dr. Hashim is focusing on operational vehicles and other lingering issues.
His goal is to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to address environmental challenges in Kano.
Emphasizing the importance of teamwork, Dr. Hashim stressed that commitment, dedication, and tolerance among staff members are crucial for driving accelerated development in the Ministry of Environment and Kano state as a whole.
Under his leadership, the Kano state Ministry of Environment is expected to make progress in addressing climate change and other environmental issues.
