by Ahmad Hamisu Gwale

The Kano Command NDLEA Sport Unit, in partnership with the Drug Demand Reduction Unit, successfully organized a sensitization event for facilities managers of the Kano State Sports Commission.

The event, held at the Conference Hall of the Kano State Sports Commission, aimed to educate participants about the dangers of drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free environment for young athletes.

CSN Ibrahim Zubairu led the sensitization event, which was part of the “Kick Drugs Out of Sports” initiative. Facilities managers from various stadiums and sports centers in Kano State attended the event, including those from Sani Abacha Stadium, Indoor Sport Hall, and Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje Stadium.

The event is part of a broader strategy to combat drug abuse in Kano State. By collaborating with facilities managers, the NDLEA Sport Unit hopes to prevent drug abuse and promote positive values and a safer, drug-free sports environment.

This initiative is a testament to the NDLEA’s commitment to addressing the issue of drug abuse in Kano State.

The agency’s proactive approach is commendable, and it’s great to see them taking steps to create a healthier and safer environment for young athletes
