Born in the ancient city of Kano, Naziru Auwalu Ibrahim, also known as Sarki Laja, is making waves in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) as one of the top midfielders in the country. Despite the tradition of many Kano young players aiming to play for Kano Pillars, Naziru decided to pave his own path by challenging himself in new environments.
With his exceptional football skills and magical touch, many have compared this 20-year-old talent to legends such as Jay-Jay Okocha and Andrea Pirlo.
Naziru’s successful stint with Rivers United, where he won the NPFL in the 2021/2022 season with impressive stats of 2 goals with 9 assists has now transitioned into a promising journey with Enugu Rangers International.
