Kano state, is gearing up to host the 4th edition of the Nigerian Chief of the Air Staff National peace U-20 male youth football tournament.
The Independent mirror reports that the Chief of Air Staff Cup Collaboration with the African Youth Sports Federation (AYSOF), organises scheduled to take place from 10th November, to 7 December 2024, at Sani Abacha stadium and Kano Pillars Sabon Gari.
Group Captain M Sulaiman, Commander 455 Base Service Group of the Air Force Base Kano, in a press briefing on Friday disclosed that the chief of Air Staff, HB Abubakar, would be the special guest of the opening ceremony tournament.
Captain Mustapha also said, the Nigerian Air Force used a non-kinetic approach against insecurity, fighting against drug abuse, and other things.
The Nigerian Chief of the Air Staff National peace U-20 male youth football showcases a commitment to promoting youth development through sports, fostering peace, and driving economic growth.
The winner and runner-up of the tournament will represent Nigeria at the next edition of the World U20 peace football competition in Lisbon, Portugal.
The fourth edition of the Nigerian Chief of Air Staff peace cup football competition U-20 will feature all the 36 states, including Abuja, with the hope of the Nigeria Air Force boosting a non-kinetic approach to promoting peace through sports activities.
