Kano Poly, EED Hold Training for Admin Staff on Workplace Ethics

The Kano State Polytechnic’s School of General and Remedial Studies (SGRS), in collaboration with its Entrepreneurship Education Directorate (EED), has organized a one-day training session for administrative staff.

The Independent Mirror reports that the event, held on Thursday last week, featured practical sessions on workplace techniques, etiquette, and institutional best practices.

In a statement issued to newsmen in Kano, the Polytechnic’s Head of Public Affairs, Auwal Ismail Bagwai, described the event as a resounding success, noting that participants left better equipped to handle their duties with competence and integrity.

Speaking at the opening, the Director of SGRS, Malama Halima Salihi Ahmad, said, “We want our staff to be more efficient and productive by equipping them with practical skills that align with the Polytechnic’s rules and regulations. It is also about building a work culture rooted in confidentiality, workplace etiquette, integrity, and professionalism.”

The Director of EED, Abdulkadir Aminu (Zanna), added, “This program reflects our dedication to nurturing a professional and ethical workforce that will continue to move the institution forward.”

In a goodwill message, the Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouk, reaffirmed the management’s commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance staff capacity and contribute to the Polytechnic’s growth.

The sessions were facilitated by Comrade Jamilu Haladu, Deputy Registrar of SGRS, who led practical exercises and shared his wealth of administrative experience.
