The Nigerian League of Women Voters (NILOWV) and five (5) other non-governmental organizations (CBOs) has declared its Support to appeal court decision declaring the APC candidate Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna as winner in Kano state Gubernatorial Election held in March, 2023.
The Independent Mirror reported that the chairperson of NILOWV Hajiya Halima Tanko Rogo made this while leading other organizations at a press conference held in Kano on Sunday.
Halima Rogo said the Court’s thorough review and affirmation of the election results underscore the credibility of the democratic process and validate the will of the people
She added that, the verdict declaring Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna as the rightful winner is a testament to the strength of our democratic institutions and the rule of law.
“It is imperative that we rally behind the upheld decision, set aside any differences, and work together towards the common goal of progress and development for our state”
