Kano State football association is set to conduct this year’s president federation cup State preliminary draws today 18 March, 2026 at the Sani Abacha Stadium kofar mata Kano.
The Independent Mirror reports that according to the state chairman of the association Alhaji Sharif Rabi’U Inuwa Ahlan said the association is going to conduct the draws in order to meet the directives of the Nigeria football federation that all states association to ensure they played the preliminary stages from 22nd of this month to 26th of next month.
Alhaji Sharif Rabi’U Inuwa Ahlan said six teams in the State were registered for this year’s federation cup which includes Kano Pillars FC, Barau FC, Bichi First FC, Azuhba FC, Chanji boys FC and Pro line FC.
The Chairman said among the six teams two that would reach the final would be the state representatives in this year’s president federation cup at National level.
He assured that the State football association would ensure fair and firm to all participating teams without fear or favour .
He pointed out that four man committee was set up by the state football association under the vice chairman of association Alhaji Aminu Muhammad Chana as chairman with Rilwanu Idris Malikawa Garu, Hassan Abdullahi Garo and Halliru Alassan Sumaila to serve as members.
He then reminded the participating teams to be focused and abide by all rules and regulations governing the competition.
Alhaji Sharif Rabi’U Inuwa Ahlan appealed to football stakeholders in the State to continue rally round the football association policies and Programs in order to achieve its set goals.
