The executive Governor of Kano state Abba Kabiru Yusuf, has donated brand Coaster bus to Kano Pillars U-19, in recognition of their impressive performance in the ongoing Nigerian youth league season.
The Independent Mirror reports that, the Governor also gifted cash money to the team’s officials, players, and coaches to motivate them to continue performing well.
This donation comes at a significant time, as the team recently suffered a setback when their bus was involved in an accident in Jos, resulting in injuries to several players.
The Governor’s support for the team is part of his broader efforts to develop sports in Kano state.
While speaking to the newsmen, Kano state Commissioner of youth and Sport, Mustapha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, thanked the Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf for his efforts in developing sports activities.
The N-Youth League Cup, which Kano Pillars U-19 is participating in, is an important initiative that provides a platform for young talents to showcase their skills.
The league is divided into Northern and Southern conferences, with weekly matches, that foster competition to help strengthen Nigerian football’s foundation.
