The Central Administration staff team, will face the School of Rural technology and Entrepreneurship Development Rano, in the Kano State RECTOR’S CUP final 2024.
The Independent Mirror reports that the KSP Rector, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouq, FCA has approved the participation of all categories of staff in a football competition to revive and enhance the sports spirit in the institution.
Recall that, on Thursday 11th July 2024, the KSP Rector declared the opening match, between the Central Administration Staff team and the School of Management Studies Staff team, where Central Admin staff emerged the winner in a Penalty Shoot-out 2-0.
School of Rural Technology and Entrepreneurship development Rano, will face the Central Administration team in the finals, after School of Technology and its marged units failed to appear for the match on Monday.
With this, the SORTED, Rano, were awarded with three goals and three points, although the rival team failed to appear to participate in the match.
Speaking in his press briefing with newsmen on Friday 12 July 2024, Dr. Abubakar Umar Farouq, FCA, the Rector of KSP, said the football competition among his staff will engage and revive the school to enhance sports activities in the Institution.
The final match between the two teams will be announced soon, as the preparations have concluded, according to the Head of Public Affairs of the KSP Auwal Ismail Bagwai revealed.
