Barau FC Honours Sharif Ahlan With Prestigious Merit Award

Barau Football Club has honoured the Chairman of the Kano State Football Association, Dr. Sharif Rabiu Inuwa Ahlan, with a prestigious merit award in recognition of his immense contributions to the development of football in the state.

The Independent Mirror reports that the award was presented to Ahlan on Thursday during the Kano State Football Association Annual General Assembly (AGA) 2025.

Presenting the award, Barau FC Chairman, Ambassador Ibrahim Shitu Chanji, commended Ahlan for his outstanding contributions to football development in Kano and across the country.

In his response, Dr. Sharif Rabiu Inuwa Ahlan, who also serves as Chairman of the NFF Technical Committee and Marketing Sponsorship congratulated Barau FC on their qualification for the NNL Super Eight Playoffs.

He expressed optimism that the upcoming season of the Kano State League will surpass previous seasons in quality and performance.
