Abba Kabiru Yusuf, the governor of Kano State on Monday, joined other governors for iftar (breaking of fast) with President Bola Tinubu at the State House.
The Independent mirror reports that, the breaking fast with governors, ministers, security chiefs and other senior government officials is part of the annual rituals of the president Tinubu.
Governors, including AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, Alex Otti of Abia, Nasir Idris of Kebbi, Abba Kabiru Yusuf of Kano, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, and Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe were at the State House for the iftar.
Other governors present include Umar Namadi of Jigawa, Uba Sani of Kaduna, Babagana Zulum of Borno, Bala Muhammad of Bauchi, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo, Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra, and Monday Okpebholo of Edo.
While speaking, President Bola Tinubu has urged heads of sub-nationals and other leaders to continue to strive for a greater Nigeria desired by the citizens.
Senior government officials at the event include Vice President, Kashim Shettima, Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff (CoS) to the president, ministers, and service chiefs among others.
