2023 National Para Games: Kano State kick with a strong record

Kano State Para soccer team thrashed Sokoto team 13-1 on Saturday, December 2023, in the second edition of National Para Games 2023 currently held in Abuja.

The Independent Mirror reported that the games were ongoing at the Moshood Abioloa National Stadium in the Capital City of Nigeria.

The Kano Para Soccer is among 12 teams Kano State registered to feature out of the 15 sporting events in the 2023 National Para Games.

Earlier on Saturday, December 9, 2023, the Kano Amputee team defeated the Plateau team 5-1, while the Kano volleyball team defeated the Kaduna team by 3-1 on Sunday Morning.

Kano’s state will participate, including Para Soccer, Para Shooting, Para Taekwondo, Para Karate and Para Power Lifting, Amputee Football, Sitting Volleyball.

Others were Para Athletics, Para Canoeing, Para Swimming, Para Table Tennis and Wheelchair Table Tennis.

On Friday, the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, proudly declared open the 2nd Edition of the National Para Games, marking the commencement of an inspiring showcase of resilience, determination, and extraordinary sporting talent.

The 2nd Edition of the National Para Games encompasses a diverse range of sporting disciplines, offering a platform for para-athletes to showcase their prowess in various events.
