1446 AH: Kano Gov’t Declares Monday As Public Holiday

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf declared Monday July 8, 2024 as a public holiday in commoration of the new Islamic calendar 1446 AH.

The Independent Mirror reports that the Government also enjoined the people to utilize the holiday to reflect on the previous year and commit themselves in mutually beneficial activities that will bring succur to the people in these difficult and trying times.

According to the Press statement signed by the Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs Baba Halilu Dantiye qouted that ”

The government will continue to initiate good policies and programmes that will empower people to be self dependents.”

The governor urged Muslim Ummah to intensifies prayers for sustaining peace and progress in the State.

He expressed optimism with prayers for the support of people, his administration will turn around the fortunes of the state and return back to the most economically prosperous among its pears in the nation.
