The Chairman of Barau Football Club, Ambassador Ibrahim Shitu Chanji, has declared that the team is fully focused on securing a victory against Mighty Jets in their Nigerian National League (NNL) Matchday 12.
The Independent Mirror reports that the crucial encounter between Barau FC of Kano and Mighty Jets will take place on Sunday at the New Jos Stadium, Zaria Road, Plateau State.
Speaking during a sports program with Hikima Radio Kano on Tuesday, Chanji emphasized the importance of earning all three points in the match, which are vital to the club’s in this season.
“Our trip to Jos is to pick up three points—not one point and certainly not to lose,” he said. “We are going there to give our best because we know our target. With the grace of God, we will secure the three points.”
“We are already preparing for our next challenge, the Super Eight. I believe, Insha Allah, we will be among the clubs to gain promotion to the NPFL,” he added.
With just one game remaining, Barau FC sits second in the NNL Northern Conference C table with 18 points, a win with a superior goal margin could secure their qualification for the NNL Super Eight this season.
