Nigerian Journalist Isma’eel Tangalash Blasts NFF, NPFL Over Poor Officiating

Kano-based journalist Isma’eel Abba Tangalash has criticized the current standard of officiating in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The Independent Mirror reports that Tangalash, who has spent over a decade reporting on the NPFL and league matches, expressed his disappointment over poor officiating and other related issues.

In a post on his official page on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, Isma’eel Abba Tangalash stated: “The NFF, NPFL and match officials should be ashamed of themselves. What nonsense!”

He further added: “Somebody should please tell Gbenga Elegbeleye and his NPFL Board that I, Isma’eel Abba Tangalashi, said they are organizing the worst league in the history of Nigeria. If they like, let them fine me—what nonsense!”
