Kano Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf Gifts Motorcycles to Some Government House Journalists

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has announced the distribution of motorcycles to selected journalists working within the Government House press corps.

The Independent Mirror reports that the initiative was disclosed in a statement shared by the governor’s social media aide, Salisu Muhammad Kosawa, on his verified Facebook page.

The gesture is aimed at recognizing the contributions of media professionals and easing their mobility in the course of duty.

The beneficiaries include correspondents from prominent media outlets such as Nasara Radio, Rahma Radio, and Radio Nigeria, as well as members of the Kano State Government House Press Directorate.

The distribution will be facilitated by the Director General of Media and Publicity, Hon. Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on behalf of the governor.

List of Recipients (First Batch): Usman Gwadabe, Sani Surajo, Adamu Dabo, Tukur S. Tukur, Tijjani Sorondinki, Ibrahim Muazzam, Mubarak Ismail, Jabir Ali Dan Abba, Rabiu Sanusi, Muzammil Sanda, and Khalid Yusif.

The announcement has generated positive reactions online, with many offering prayers for the governor’s continued success.

The statement concluded with a heartfelt prayer: “May Allah reward His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, with goodness and may He return him to office again. Ameen.”

This move is seen as part of the governor’s broader efforts to support the media and improve working conditions for journalists covering government activities.
