A member of the Kano State House of Assembly representing Kano Municipal Constituency, Hon. Sarki Aliyu Daneji, has passed away.
The Independent Mirror reports that the Hon. Daneji died barely one hour after the death of another lawmaker, Hon. Aminu Sa’adu Ungoggo, who represented Ungoggo Constituency, marking a tragic day for the Kano State Assembly.
The late lawmaker was a serving member of the Kano State House of Assembly, where he represented his constituency and participated in legislative duties at the state level.

His death has further deepened the sense of mourning within the Assembly, as colleagues, political leaders, and residents of Kano State continue to grapple with the loss of two serving lawmakers within a short period.
Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family and the Kano State House of Assembly.
