The court of Appeal Abuja Division has affirmed the victory of Senator Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila as the duly elected senator for Kano South senatorial district.
The Independent Mirror reported that A competent source who was at the court confirmed this to newsmen, as the court dismissed Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya’s appeal.
Gaya was senator for Kano South from 2007 to 2023 before he was defeated by Senator Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila during the February 25 National Assembly election.
Gaya was also the Governor of Kano state under the defunct NRC from 1992 to 1993
