The All Progressive Congress (APC) youth coalition in Kano state has called on president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and national working committee of the party to sack APC’s acting national chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his failure to deliver Kano in the 2023 general election.
The Independent Mirror reported that the Chairman of the coalition Honarable Sadiq Ali Sango disclosed this at a press conference held in Kano on Sunday 21 January, 2024.
According to him, “We want to call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the leader of our party and the father of modern Nigeria, to sack the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, for his failure to deliver Kano State to the APC in the last governorship election,” he said
Sadiq Ali added that, “His appointment as the APC National Chairman has violated the zoning arrangement of the party, which clearly shows that the position of the National Chairman should be given to the North Central zone”,
Therefore, we demand that Ganduje should step down immediately and Tinubu should not give him any appointment again, due to his corruption records”
“We want to extend our hand of fellowship to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State and the national leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), we recognize his immense contributions to the development and progress of Kano State and the nation at large”
The Coalition Youth called on the national leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement in Nigeria Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso returned to the APC for the best interest of party flag-bearrer and the people in Nigeria.
Also Coalition congratulate Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State for his victory at the Supreme Court.
“We respect the verdict of the apex court and we accept it as the will of God. We commend Governor Yusuf for his resilience and perseverance in the face of the legal battles and the political intrigues that characterized the governorship election”.
They also urge him to work tirelessly in order to uplift the standard of living of the people of Kano State.
We assure him of our cooperation and support in his efforts to deliver good governance and dividends of democracy to the people of Kano State.
