Gov AbdulRazaq Attends Kwara United’s Victory Over Kano Pillars

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, attended Kwara United’s impressive 2-0 victory over Kano Pillars in Ilorin on Sunday.

The Independent Mirror reports that, Kwara United secured a crucial win on matchday 28 of the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) at the Kwara Sports Complex.

The Harmony Boys dominated the game, with goals from Wasiu Alalade in the 20th minute and Wasiu Jimoh in the 52nd minute, securing an important three points against Sai Masu Gida.

Speaking after the match, Governor AbdulRazaq emphasized the importance of sports and praised the team’s resilience, especially while fasting during Ramadan.

He also commended their performance, highlighting the significance of sports in promoting unity, discipline, and healthy competition.

The governor reaffirmed his commitment to sports development in Kwara State, encouraging the team to strive for excellence.

The victory lifts Kwara United to 11th place on the NPFL table with 39 points, while Kano Pillars remain in 6th place with 42 points from 28 matches in the 2024/2025 season.
