Barau Football Club from Kano State, emerged victorious as the Champions of the Dutse Centre, Jigawa State in the New year Mega Lottery Nationwide League One NLO 2023/2024 after winning all three matches in the Round-robin Stage.
The Independent Mirror reports that in a statement signed by Ahmad Hamisu Gwale, Media Officer of Barau FC on Tuesday, the show included a thrilling finale to the NLO season’s Dutse Centre as Barau FC emerged victorious, securing the sole promotion playoff ticket.
Barau FC defeated ATK FC on Tuesday morning 2-1 in a match held at Dutse Stadium Jigawa State Barau FC emerged at the top of the table with 9 points.
The Nationwide League One NLO tournament showcased the talent and determination of the participants’ teams, with Maliya boys standing out throughout the competition.
Earlier, Barau FC won all two matches in the NLO Round-robin match, including winning against Halfa FC 2-1 on day one at Dutse Stadium, followed by against Hausawa United 2-1 at Dutse Sports Complex on Monday.
Technical Adviser Coach of Barau FC Madu Muhammad, praised his players for their outstanding performance, dedication, hard work, and emphasized their commitment to achieving thier goals, especially targeting Nigerian National League NNL promotion.
Barau FC, under the Chairman Alhaji Ibrahim Shitu Chanji, provided support and guidance for the players and the entire management did hard work and skil in supporting the players to clinch the ticket promotion.
As the dust settled on the Dutse center of the NLO season, Barau FC secured first place with 9 points, followed closely by Halfa FC, ATK FC and Hausawa United all with 3 points.
Now, Barau FC, advanced to the NLO Play-off promotion, and Maliya boys will face the Clever Warriors, winner of the Kano Centre winner at Daura, Katsina State on May 27, 2024, with hopes of securing a place in the prestigious Nigeria National League next season.
