Deputy President of the Senate Barau Jibrin Maliya CON, distributed bags of rice to all media houses, both Radio and Television in Kano, as a Ramadan gesture to alleviate some hardships faced in Nigeria.
The Independent Mirror reported that the thoughtful gesture by the Kano Media Houses aimed to support its journalists during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Deputy President of the Senate Spokesperson Shitu Madaki Kunchi said the gesture was also extended due to the hardship journalists face and contribute to their work.
Madaki Said, the gesture is to ease hardship for millions of Nigerians amidst economic challenges faced by the people of the country and entirely the journalists at all.
The distribution of bags of rice as a Ramadan gesture by the Deputy President of the Senate commitment to supporting journalists on radio and television during challenging times.
Among the stations in Kano who benefited from the distribution were Freedom Radio, Premier Radio, Arewa Radio, Vision Fm, Radio Kano, Muhasa Radio, Pyramid FM, Express Radio.
Others are Guarantee Radio, Aminchi Radio, Jalla FM, Dala FM, Himma Radio, Rahma Radio, Wazobia, Kanawa Radio, BUK FM, Abubakar Rimi Television, NTA, Tambari TV and rest.
