In a major academic achievement, three lecturers from Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila, Kano State, have been ranked among the world’s most cited scientists in the 2025 edition of the AD Scientific Index of World Scientists and University Rankings.
The Independent Mirror reports that the recognition was announced in a statement signed by the university’s Academic Secretary, Hassan Abdurrahman.
The distinguished lecturers include Mal. Najibullah Abdallah Nuhu – Department of Political Science, Mal. Sadanu Hamza Kabiru – Department of Accounting and Mr. Muhammad Aminu Auta – Department of Biology
According to the index, Mr. Kabiru ranks first among researchers at Al-Istiqama University, followed by Mr. Auta and Mr. Nuhu in second and third positions respectively.
Founder of the university, Senator Suleiman AbdulRahman Kawu Sumaila, PhD, congratulated the scholars and the university community, and announced research grants for each of the recognized lecturers.
