SCAPO Suspends Abduljalal Mukhatar as Chairman

The Executive Director of the Special Center For Academic Prestige and Orientation (SCAPO), Zamzilu Ado Jibrin, has approved the suspension of the Current SCAPO Chairman Abduljalal Mukhatar Ismail, with immediate effect.

The Independent Mirror reported that in a statement signed by the public relations officer of SCAPO, Abubakar Muhammad, the suspension came as no surprise due to the accusations regarding him.

The statement list the reason for the suspension of Malam Abduljalal Mukhatar, including Mismanagement of SCAPO Academy funds during his tenure as the chairman of the center.

Added that Gross misconduct and unguarded utterances in which he attempted to tarnish the image of SCAPO’s director and founding father as well as SCAPO as a whole.

Backbiting, slandering, eavesdropping and malicious gossip: Abduljalal is accused of tarnishing the reputations of some SCAPO staff members through insidious remarks, using derogatory terms [read: Kananan karnuka] and damaging narratives.

He is also recognized to be skilled in deceitful communication with the intent of harm and is known for his domineering, tyrannical behaviour and has an excessive sense of self-importance.

The statement also said “In view of this, the public is advised to be alerted and aware that Abduljalal is no longer a member of SCAPO, and he is not associated with it anymore. He never had his own interests at heart. He rather used the organization for personal gain, which contradicts SCAPO’s codes of conduct,”

The SCAPO management explained that their suspension was necessary, and a committee would be set up to carry out an investigation.
