Residents of Kano State have praised the appointment of the state’s indigene, Abahuraira Dahiru, as the Northwest Zonal Coordinator of the Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO).

The Independent Mirror reports that the  Tinubu Support Organisation (TSO) recently unveiled and inaugurated coordinators for the six geo-political zones of Nigeria, with Dahiru emerging as the Northwest Coordinator.

The Director-General of the organisation, Hon. Aminu Sulaiman, while inaugurating the officials, said their appointments are part of TSO’s efforts to promote sports development and showcase Nigeria’s budding talents ahead of the forthcoming National Football Tournament in honour of Nigeria’s President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR).

He charged the newly inaugurated officials to ensure the success of the tournament in line with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, while also promoting unity and fostering national pride.

The Director-General emphasized the importance of sports in nation-building and highlighted President Tinubu’s commitment to youth empowerment.

He added that the TSO National Football Tournament will bring together teams from across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, beginning with zonal eliminations.

Abahuraira Dahiru, a Kano-born indigene with experience in organizing football competitions, is expected to bring his expertise to ensure the success of the tournament.

It will be recalled that Dahiru previously served as the coordinator of the Gusau/Ahlan Pre-season tournament, where he played a key role in organizing the competition.
