The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has felicitated with Premier Radio on the occasion of its 4th anniversary.
The Independent Mirror reports that this was contained in a statement signed by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Sunday.
He described the station as a reputable, professional, and people-focused broadcast organisation that has contributed significantly to public enlightenment and the promotion of good governance in Kano State.
Governor Yusuf praised Premier Radio for its commitment to ethical journalism, accuracy, and balanced reportage, noting that the station has consistently maintained editorial independence and fairness in its programming.
The Governor also congratulated the Chairman of the station, Malam Abba Dabo, for his visionary leadership and sustained investment in credible journalism.
Similarly, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, extended his felicitations to Premier Radio on the occasion of its 4th anniversary.
This was contained in a statement released on Monday by the Speaker’s spokesperson, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai.
Falgore described Premier Radio as a dedicated station whose vision and commitment to national and international broadcasting go beyond rhetoric.
Additionally, the Emir of Kano, Khalifa Dr. Muhammad Sanusi II, congratulated Premier Radio on its 4th anniversary.
According to the Emir’s Chief of Staff and District Head of Bichi, Alhaji Munir Sanusi Bayero, the station is a dedicated broadcast organisation with a clear vision and strong commitment to community development.
Recall that the Kano-based radio station, Premier Radio 102.7 FM Kano, recently celebrated a major milestone after surpassing one million followers on its Facebook page within just four years.
The station’s official Facebook page, created on October 9, alongside the establishment of the station in December 2021, has contributed to making Premier Radio the fastest-growing radio station in Northern Nigeria to reach this landmark.
