Kano Pillars Football Club has signed a N100 million partnership deal with Radio France Internationale (RFI) Hausa to support the club’s development and enhance its media visibility.

The Independent Mirror reports that the deal was officially announced during an event held on Thursday at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, with top officials from both Kano Pillars and RFI Hausa in attendance.

The partnership covers all categories of the club’s jerseys, including the senior team, second team, Junior Pillars, and youth teams such as the U-13, U-15, and U-19 squads.

Speaking at the event, Kano Pillars General Manager and former Super Eagles captain, Ahmad Musa, described the partnership as a significant milestone for the club and the people of Kano.

“This is a proud moment for Kano Pillars. We are happy to welcome RFI Hausa into the Kano Pillars family,” Musa said.

“The partnership is worth N100 million, comprising N45 million in cash and N55 million in equipment and services.”

He further explained that the support includes digital equipment such as cameras and computers, monthly media training for the club’s media team, and a new jersey sponsorship by RFI.

Also speaking at the event, RFI Hausa Nigeria Coordinator, Joseph Pelly, said the aim of the partnership is to elevate Kano Pillars’ profile on the international stage.

He emphasized that RFI Hausa would support the club’s content production and help expand its social media reach.

“This partnership goes beyond placing a logo on the jersey. It’s about supporting the club’s heritage and contributing to its growth,” Pelly said.

Ahmad Musa called on other organisations and individuals to collaborate with the club, stressing that Kano Pillars remains open to further partnerships that will foster its progress.

Dignitaries at the event included Kano Pillars Chairman, Ali Naira; board members; and RFI Hausa officials, including Editor-in-Chief Bashir Ibrahim Idris and Head of Digital and Media Abdulrahman Gambo.
