Kano Pillars football club may return to their original home, Sani Abacha Stadium, for their home games in the Nigeria Football Premier League (NPFL) 2024/2025 season.

The Independent mirror reports that due to renovations going on at the Sani Abacha Stadium, the Pillars moved their home games to Muhammad Dikko Stadium in Katsina State.

According to the Assistant Director General Media Directorate of Kano Pillars, Ismail Abba Tangalash, Pillars have been waiting for the NPFL committee to release the final results.

The NPFL committee has already visited the Sani Abacha Stadium on Wednesday, to inspect the renovated facilities.

Sani Abacha Stadium has been a fortress for the Sai Masu Gida boys and their strong home records played a key role when they won the league a few seasons ago.

Despite playing away from home this season, the Pillars have been one of the strongest teams.

The Sai Masu Gida will host Heartland in a matchday 12 fixture on Sunday, in the Nigeria Football Premier League NFPL.

Kano Pillars, who registered their second away win of the campaign over Bendel Insurance on Sunday, are currently fifth in the NPFL table with 17 points.
