In a sign of growing collaboration between civil society and government, Gidan Yanci fellows met yesterday with Kano State Deputy Governor’s Spokesperson, Alh. Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu.
The focus of the productive and insightful meeting was on forging a partnership to push for deeper democratic reforms in Kano State.
The Gidan Yanci fellows, known for their dedication to strengthening youth civic activism and human rights, expressed their desire to work alongside the Kano State government.
Discussions centered on identifying practical ways to promote democratic reforms that will ultimately drive progress and development across the state.
Alh. Garba Shuaibu, welcoming the Gidan Yanci fellows, reiterated the Kano State government’s commitment to open communication and collaboration.
He assured the fellows that the government is receptive to “constructive advice and ideas” as they strive to improve the democratic landscape within Kano.
This meeting signifies a positive step towards a more inclusive approach to governance in Kano State.
