Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reshuffled the portfolios of some commissioners in the state government, announcing new ministerial assignments for several members of the State Executive Council.
The Independent Mirror reports that the new portfolio allocations were announced by Ibrahim Adam, the Governor’s Social Media Aide.
Under the latest changes, Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, who previously served as Commissioner for Information, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Youth, while Hon. Hamza Safyanu Kachako, the former Commissioner for Mineral Resources, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Environment.
The reshuffle also saw the appointment of Hon. Yushau Soja as Commissioner for Security, while Hon. Idris Garba Mustapha was assigned to the Ministry of Special Duties.
Other commissioners assigned to various ministries include:
1. Hon. Yushau Soja – Ministry of Security.
2. Hon. Idris Garba Mustapha – Ministry of Special Duties.
3. Hon. Muntari Ishaq Yakasai – Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
4. Hon. Ibrahim Namadi Dala – Ministry of Commerce.
5. Hon. Ibrahim Tsanyawa – Ministry of Science and Technology.
6. Hon. Hamza Safyanu Kachako – Ministry of Environment.
7. Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya – Ministry of Youth.
The reshuffle is part of the state government’s efforts to reorganise the State Executive Council and reposition ministries for effective service delivery.
