The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kano branch, has honoured Barau FC Chairman, Ibrahim Shitu Chanji, as the Kano Youngest Football Administrator of the Year 2025.
The Independent Mirror reports that Ibrahim Chanji has been at the helm of the club’s administration in the state, steering Barau FC from the NLO to the NNL, and now to the NPFL.
The association organised a one-day capacity-building workshop for its members on Monday at the NUJ Kano Secretariat.
The workshop, focused on sports reporting, marked the commencement of activities for SWAN Kano’s 60th Anniversary and Week Celebration.
The training aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge across various sports activities, including basketball tournaments, as well as ethics and codes of conduct in sports reporting.
Ibrahim Shitu Chanji has continued to make remarkable contributions to football development in Kano, particularly through his commitment to youth empowerment and grassroots sports growth.
