The Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) Zone E preliminaries kicks off Tuesday 28th October 2025 at Wudil Campus of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Kano.
The Independent Mirror reports that in a statement issued by Chairman Sub Committee on Publicity Abdullahi Datti Abdullahi said the Local Organiźing Committee had concluded arrangements towards successful hosting of the preliminaries.
Large contingents of Athletes from Universities óf the Zone that include Bayero University Kano, Northwest University Kano, Federal University Dutse, Sule Lamido University Kafin Hausa, Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University of Nigeria (KHAIRUN), and host ADUSTECH Wudil are expected to compete in various events.
The events to be competed for are Football, Beach Volleyball, E-Sports, Hockey, Judo, Taekwando, Chess, Karate, Athletics, Squash, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Tennis, Table Tennis and Badminton among others.
Meanwhile, the chairman of Local Organizing Committee, Prof. Abdulkadir Muhammad Danbazau has assured àthletes of hitch-free and colourful competition, even as he enjoined them to adhere to rules and regulations.
The Vice Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology Wudil Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai is to declare the preliminaries open on Tuesday.
The preliminaries are in preparations for the Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) games coming up in Plateau State early November.
