The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced that its 81st Annual General Assembly will hold in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Saturday.
The Independent Mirror reports that the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, will declare the assembly open at the Emeritus Professor Theophilus Ogunlesi Hall, opposite the University College Hospital, Orita-Mefa.
Among dignitaries expected at the event are the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko; Director General of the NSC, Hon. Bukola Olopade; Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports, Senator Abdul Ningi; Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Sports, Hon. Kabiru Amadu; as well as former NFF President and former FIFA/CAF Member, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick.
Also invited are former NFF 1st Vice President, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi, and former NFF General Secretaries, Ambassador Fanny Amun and Dr. Bolaji Ojo-Oba, alongside other prominent stakeholders.
The NFF Annual General Assembly brings together all Chairmen and Secretaries of Football Associations from the 36 States and the FCT, members of the NFF Executive Committee and Management, as well as Chairmen and Secretaries of the various Leagues, the Coaches Association, the Referees Association, and the Players’ Union.
NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (MON), will deliver a welcome address to the plenary before the commencement of the business session, while the General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, will present the Secretariat’s activity report.
During the business session, the Assembly will consider the presentation of the consolidated and revised balance sheet and profit-and-loss statement, approval of the financial statements, and approval of the budget for the coming year.
Other agenda items include admission of new members (if applicable), votes on proposed amendments to the Statutes and regulations, as well as review of the Standing Orders of the General Assembly.
The Assembly will also deliberate on proposals submitted by Members and the Executive Committee, appoint an Independent Auditor, consider dismissals (if applicable), and address any further items duly submitted.
